Primary Ocular Irritation Potential of Ball Powder (Trade Name) in Male Rabbits
Abstract:
The potential for BALL POWDER to produce primary eye irritation was evaluated in male New Zealand White rabbits by using a modified Draize method. Slight conjunctival vasodilation and chemosis indicative of mild inflammation and three small pinpoint erosions were the most serious responses observed. The results indicate that BALL POWDER is not a primary ocular irritant under conditions of this study. Keywords Rabbit nitrocellulose Mammalian toxicology Propellants.
