Abstract:

Copper II oxide was prepared by oxidation of copper metal and decomposition of the nitrate. The presence of copper in the formal valence of CuIII has been confirmed in p-type CuO. the magnetic and electronic properties have been studied as a function of preparation and annealing conditions.
