reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: ADA201991 | Open PDF

Abstract:

The research discussed in this research note was undertaken to demonstrate the feasibility of using organizational modeling in the Light Family of Helicopters LHX program as an iterative tool to probe Manpower and Personnel Integration MANPRINT constraints beginning early in the system acquisition process. An organizational model with four components was constructed to translate LHX integrated logistics supportreliability, availability and maintainability ILSRAM characteristics into mission capability for MANPRINT evaluation. The context used was the Attack Helicopter Company in the Army of Excellence table of organization and equipment for the Air Assault Division, which is scheduled to become an LHX scoutattack helicopter pure unit. The mode was exercised using RAM factor goals for LHX, and an AHC 7 day8 LHX per mission requirement to establish a base case capability with the goal LHX.
