Abstract:

An attempt to expose the inner basis of the militarys structure of discipline and authority. It is based on authentic episode from which it tries to draw more general conclusions. The main argument is that the military structure is primarily a hierarchy of responsibilities, and that authority is only a derivative of responsibility. It intends to show how this relationship is manifested in a given situation and to examine some implications of the moral obligations primary, over legal and functional rules.
