Sporicidal Activity of Alcide Exspor and Sodium Hypochlorite on Bacillus anthracis Spores
Abstract:
Exspor, a commercial disinfectant, was completely sporicidal to Bacillus anthracis spores and was active in the presence of 5 wtvol brain heart infusion, 5 volvol whole sheep blood, and 50 wtvol plant materials. Sodium hypochlorite, 0.5 wtvol, although highly sporicidal, was inhibited significantly by the presence of organic material.
