Abstract:

Frequency dependent perturbations, nu sub 1 r,omega exp-iomegat, of a system in a non-degenerate ground state are studied. It is shown that 1 for omega omega sub min, the lowest excitation frequency every nu sub 1 r, omega causes a density change and 2 for omega omega sub min there are isolated frequencies where this is not the case.
