Abstract:

The DDNTUT program is an interactive tutorial, located on the ISIA host computer in Marina del Rey, California. The program is designed to first acquaint the new user on the Defense Data Network with the TOPS-20 operating system and its executive level commands. Following this, the user is taken step by step through nine different programs available on TOPS-20, knowledge of which is integral to effective use of the network. The user can, at any time, quit the tutorial, return to previously studied sections, andor skip sections he may be familiar with. Thesis
