Abstract:

A sensitivity analysis of the PARCOM Model was conducted to determine how sensitive PARCOM is to four variables failure rates inventory maximum flying hours accomplished which is a measure of the force capability of the fleet and cost constraint. Data for the AH-1S was used in the analysis. The output variable was sensitive to all the variables except maximum flying hoursaircraftday. This variable resulted in sensitive output up to 6 hours per day and was insensitive in the range 6 hours to 24 hours. It was recommended that future studies using PARCOM contain a small sensitivity analysis to produce ranges of the outputs. Baseline Case Parts Data Base is Appendix A. Keywords PARCOM, Sensitivity analysis, Spares, Aircraft, Flying hours, Parts requirements.
