This report summarizes propaganda themes and topics from the Russian language newspaper Red Star Krasnaya Zvezda. With a circulation of several million copies, this daily newspaper is the official publication of the Ministry of Defense. It represents the views and articulates the issues important to the Main Political Administration MPA of the Soviet Army and Navy, which is responsible for the political reliability of all Soviet military forces. The MPA receives its guidance directly from the Central Committee of the CPSU.
