Further Development of an Interactive Control Engineering Computer Analysis Package (ICECAP) for Discrete and Continuous Systems.
Abstract:
This thesis reports on the on-going effort to design and implement an Interactive Control Engineering Computer Analysis Package ICECAP. When fully implemented ICECAP will enable a Control Engineer to analyze and design continuous and discrete time problems. This project started with Captain Glen T. Logans implementation of the program called TOTAL which is the core of ICECAP. Captain Charles J. Gembarowski continued Logans effort and began implementation of the User friendly command structure. Captain Robert E. Wilson implemented the helpteach modules and completed the continuous time functions started by Gembarowski. The main emphasis of this thesis investigation was the implementation of the discrete command structure so that discrete analysis and design could be performed by ICECAP. Furthermore, other commands were implemented to improve ICECAPs continuous and discrete time function capabilities. Keywords include Command language, Computer aided design, Control systems, Human interface, Interactive, Computer analysis package, VAX 11780.
