Recruitment and Selection of Minorities in High-Tech Organizations. A Sociological Perspective.
Abstract:
Organizational and structural factors associated with minority representation in high-tech occupations are examined. Specifically, sociological research on minority career attainment processes is reviewed and discussed within a broad conceptual framework which focuses on both individual and structural determinants of access to high-tech occupations and organizations. Key words include Organizational equity, Status attainment, Minority recruitment.
