Stonewall Jackson's Shenandoah Valley Campaign: A Study of the Principles of War
Abstract:
Stonewall Jacksons Shenandoah Valley Campaign of 1862 is described. The campaign is then analyzed using the principles of war defined by AFM 1-1 as a framework for analysis. Examples of effective and ineffective application of the principles of war by Union and Confederate commanders are given.
