Abstract:

This research program, deals with the processes by which individuals are successfully or unsuccessfully socialized during their transition across various organizational boundaries. The transitions of particular interest are entry into the organization and transfer to a new position, unit, andor location. These transitions are endemic to formal organizations, including the military.
