Abstract:

The objective of the Audio Signal Management technical program was to design and develop an Exploratory Development Model Audio Signal Management System ASMS. This system is to be used to test and evaluate present and future voice data entry algorithms, processing techniques, and hardware modules. The ASMS consists of internal functions implemented on the RADC PDP 1170 computer, external functions implemented in stand-alone hardware devices, an Audio Distribution Network ADN for shaping and routing audio signals, and an ADP Data entry communication interfacekeyboard translator with HP 2645A terminal for function control and transcription.
