Abstract:

This manual is a training aide to accompany the Energy Monitoring and Control Systems Operator Training Course. It is also intended as a working reference for the EMCS operator. The manual discusses the basics of HVAC system operation covering most systems which would be connected to an EMCS. It includes a generic description of EMCS hardware, explanations of the energy savings strategies of the EMCS applications software and discussions of EMCS alarm analysts and system operation.
