A Method for Determining Liquid Volatility at Ambient Temperatures Using an Infrared Gas Analyzer,
Abstract:
A method is described for directly measuring liquid volatility at ambient temperatures without the need to measure vapour pressure or use a predictive vapour pressure-temperature relationship. The method is based on the drying of a wetted substrate under controlled conditions and relating the rate of drying to liquid volatility. The rate of drying is determined by monitoring changes in vapour concentration over time using an infrared gas analyzer. Author
