Stream Traffic Communication in Packet Switched Networks,
Abstract:
This research deals with the transmission of stream traffic through packet switched networks. Stream traffic communication is characterized by 1 a requirement of small response time and moderate throughput, the fact that 2 timing is an integral part of the information, and that 3 the information is redundant and somewhat tolerable to loss. Remote voice communication provides an example of stream traffic communications.
