Effects of Temperature and Orientation of an Intact Rabbit Lens on the Polarized Raman Spectra.
Abstract:
Effects of temperature and orientation of an intact rabbit lens on the polarized Raman spectra are discussed. Regardless of rabbit lens orientation with respect to incidentscattered exciting laser beams, the resultant polarized Raman spectra are essentially identical. The results indicate that the lens is optically isotropic. Temperature at 100 C seems to have no effect on protein conformation within the lens. Author
