Abstract:

This report describes the North Seeking Gyrocompass delivered for evaluation on the M113 armored vehicle. The system consists of a North Finding Module attached to a vehicle mounted gimbal set and a separate Control PanelBattery Charger. The gyrocompass supplies azimuth to an accuracy of 2 mils RMS approximately 2 minutes after turn-on. Author
