Design and Development of a Hydrofrac Steam Generator System
Abstract:
A controllable steam generator utilizing hydrogen, oxygen and water has been developed. Steam possessing a wide range of thermodynamic conditions can be produced with this generator. Ultimate production is 30 moles of steam per second at pressures of 10 MPa and temperatures of roughly 700 C. Preliminary testing was conducted in a high-pressure test chamber. These tests demonstrate the ability of the generator to produce copious quantities of steam in a controlled fashion. On the basis of this work it appears that it is possible to configure the generator as a drill hole probe. Author
