Present and Future Trends in Signal Processing Technologies.

Abstract:

This report provides a quick overview of various signal processing technologies and evaluates their impact on modern radar design in the 1980s. Although primary emphasis is placed on conventional solid-state technologies, a serious effort has been made to review more exotic physical phenomena and related technologies which have attracted, recently, a great deal of interest and are no longer viewed as scientific curiosities. The later group includes surface acoustic waves SAW, charge-coupled devices CCD, magnetic bubble memories MBM, Josephson junction JJ devices, and acousto-optics.
