Study of Universal Alignment Equipment. Revised.
Abstract:
A study of was made universal installation alignment instruments for aircraft and missiles. The instruments consist of electronic level sensors and gyros to transfer alignment from a master reference plate in the aircraft to the mounts which are to be aligned. Instrument requirements are defined as well as mount requirements to avoid the need for adapters or other equipment. A technology survey, applications study, and cost-effectiveness data are presented. Author
