Structure and Properties of Glasses.
Abstract:
The elastic modulus of glasses are shown to be affected by ion-exchange because of the loss of unoccupied space in the glass network. The water content of beryllium fluoride glasses affects the ionic content although the fluorine ion is the current carrier because of defects in the glass caused by water. Transparent composites have been prepared by impregnating porous glass with polymethylmethacrylate. Author
