Abstract:

Ring oven tests for ten ions that had been developed under another contract DADA17-73-C-3112 were subjected to statistical testing to determine the procedures accuracy, precision, operator variability, and the effects of variable factors found in the environment. Procedures for six of the ten ions copper, calcium, magnesium, zinc, chloride and sulfate were found to be suitable for screening of natural water those for nitrates, fluorides, lead and iron were not suitable. Feasibility studies were also performed for ring oven techniques for the determination of pesticides in water and for general scan purposes. Author
