Abstract:

A spares-optimization provisioning model was developed by ARINC Research Corporation for use by the Aviation Supply Office. Given provisioning data for a specific entity such as an aircraft, this model provides the methodology for obtaining an optimum inventory for the entity by using the Poisson distribution.
