Abstract:

ZOG is a rapid response, large network, menu selection system used for man-machine communication. The philosophy behind this system was first developed by the PROMIS Problem Oriented Medical Information System Laboratory of the University of Vermont. ZOG will be used in a number of task domains to help explore and evaluate the limits and potential benefits of the communication philosophy. This paper discusses the basic ideas in ZOG and describes the architecture of a system that has just been implemented to carry out that exploration and evaluation. Author
