Design of a Compact Plenum Chamber for Supply of Air to an Annular Space with Low Energy Losses.
Abstract:
This report describes the design of a compact plenum chamber the function of which is to receive air from a rectangular duct and deliver it to an annular space with low energy losses. Turning vanes formed from a single thickness of sheet steel ensure that air leaves the chamber essentially perpendicular to the plane of the annulus. A FORTRAN program is presented which plots the two dimensional development of the turning vane. Author.
