Flame Test for Medical Unit, Self-Contained Transportable (Inflatable Shelter Assembly)
Abstract:
MUST Medical Unit, Self-Contained Transportable Shelters, supplied by three different manufacturers, were exposed to common hospital flame hazards, such as, trash fires, lighted cigarettes, alcohol spills, and burning wastepaper baskets. In addition to the field tests, undamaged specimens of each major component of each of the three manufacturers shelters were subjected to standard laboratory tests. Gas samples were also collected during the field tests and analyzed in the laboratory to identify the combustible products of the shelters and their levels.
