Demonstration and Evaluation of a Microfiche-Based Audio/Visual System. Focus on the Trained Man.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the feasibility and cost effectiveness of a microfiche-based audiovisual facility and to solicit user opinions and recommendations regarding this medium. Twenty instructors and 20 trainees at the Basic Electricity and Electronics School, Orlando, Florida, reviewed four soundmicrofiche programs and were asked to compare this medium with their experience using soundslide programs. The microfiche medium was positively received by both groups. Recommendations for future development and use of soundmicrofiche programs as well as comparative cost analyses are presented. Author
