A Solar Power Radiacmeter.
Abstract:
A solar power radiacmeter breadboard design is described, based on a miniature 18 cc ionization chamber and low power, solid-state Field Effect Transistor, FET electrometer. Power demand for this instrument, including DC converter, is approximately 5 mW. Preliminary experiments with a 20 sq cm silicon solar cell panel and pen light AA size rechargeable NiCd battery suggest feasibility of this approach.
