Abstract:

The primary purpose of linear regression is the prediction of Y from a given value of X by means of the regression equation YBX or YABX, and the estimation of confidence limits for true Y, A and B. Regression analysis for two variables may be made on a weighted or unweighted basis with the line passing through the origin or through the means.
