Abstract:

This paper shows the computation of English sentences in different task domains--the robot world, a childrens story, and the front-end of information retrieval. The GIST Grammar Instructed Structure analyzes these sentences, using a grammar which provides a partial interpretation of sentences, and some guidelines towards a more complete understanding.
