Abstract:

An evaluation was made of the Sperry electrical gyro instruments with an engine-driven alternator to determine the advantages of the electrically-driven gyro instruments in comparison with the standard vacuum-driven gyro instruments and if the Sperry electrical gyro instruments are a suitable replacement for standard vacuum-driven gyro instruments presently used by the Army.
