Abstract:

This thesis is a summary of the design and implementation of a user interface for a color, raster-scan graphics display device. The problems, solutions and a general set of guidelines related to designing an interface for a color capable graphics device are discussed. The implementation of a software interface for a RAMTEK Gx-100A with the PDP-1150 computer is presented. The interface is implemented within the conventions of the C programming language and executes under the UNIX operating system. Recommendations for further expansion of the interface are discussed.
