Abstract:

An evaluation was made to determine the usability of copy generated by the Tactical Digital Facsimile TDF validation model using various shades of gray 2 to 32 and resolution 96, 144, 192 with a laser scanner and a charge-coupled device CCD. Laser scanner copy was found to be superior to the CCD copy. Ninety-six lines of resolution were rarely found usable on the CCD copy. Valuable preproduction design data were obtained. Author
