Abstract:

Subroutines have been written in FORTRAN for the CDC 36003800 to evaluate Bessel functions of the first and second kinds for complex arguments. These routines will compute J sub nx iy and Y sub nx iy, where x or 0, y or 0, and i the square root of -1. Using the identity 2pix iy J subn1x iyY sub nx iy - J sub nx iyY subn1x iy as a check, the single-precision version will generate results that are accurate to eight figures or more for arguments equal to plus or minus 20.0 plus or minus 20.0i and the double-precision version will generate results that are accurate for seven figures or more for arguments equal to plus or minus 100.0 plus or minus 20.0i.
