Some Aspects of Strain Gauge Quality,
Abstract:
The strain gage quality concept is discussed from the users point of view, and from the aspect of development. Numerical values of several quantities participating to define the quality of a specified strain gage assembly can be determined in the FFA strain laboratory, the measurement uncertainties of which are listed. Values determined for some quantities are shown long-term change of gage factor, gage factor dependence on cement type, thermal zero drift, instantaneous gage factor dependence on temperature, and cross sensitivity.
