The Queue Length Process of the M2/G2/1 Queue with Bernoulli Feedback.

Abstract:

Conditions under which single server queues with feedback are equivalent to single server queues without feedback for the queue length, busy period and departure process are known. This paper presents some properties of those queues for which these conditions are not met. Foreground-background computer models are in this class and those with Poisson arrival processes serve as illustrations of the general results.
