This field procedure manual was developed to help government representatives review and administer lead paint removal contracts. The manuals intent is to ensure the contractor 1 protects the safety and health of workers and building occupants, 2 prevents the release of lead paint debris into the environment, and 3 complies with all applicable standards and regulations. The manual parallels each stage of a lead paint removal project at a non-housingnon-child occupied facility. Checklists, which follow the logical sequence of a removal project, provide basic information and emphasize important criteria.
