Comparative Effectiveness of Psychotropic Medications for PTSD in Clinical Practice
Abstract:
We have completed all Year 2 tasks by the time of this report. We identified which Veterans in the final cohort received an adequate medication trial AMT of one of the five medications fluoxetine, sertraline, paroxetine, topiramate, or venlafaxine during their initial year of PTSD treatment. We then determined whether each Veteran also received pre- and post-measurement with the PTSD Checklist PCL as well as whether they met criteria for PTSD. We have developed our analytic dataset for the completion of Aims 1 and 2, and have also published or submitted three additional manuscripts supporting the methods to be used as we complete our efforts.
