STIR: Research Area 4.4: An Efficient Near Field Wireless Power Transmission System
Abstract:
The objective of this research is to broaden the bandwidth of the resonance-based wireless power transmission WPT systems while maintaining their power transmission efficiency PTE. High Q resonators are widely used in near field WPT systems since they effectively improve the transmission efficiency over distance. Such systems therefore have a limited operating bandwidth hence, the conventional WPT systems are intolerant to frequency misalignment and coupling factor variation.
