This report outlines progress in the following areas 1 The calculated airplane performance comparisons indicate that the advanced technology variable camber wing offers substantial performance improvements at low speed, loiter, cruise, and combat conditions 2 A flight control system has defined that provides the required level of safety and flying qualities 3 Flap loads, freeplay and stiffness requirements, Structural element design, Skin sizes and actuator sizes have been developed and 4 Leading and trailing edge flap design layouts have been prepared.
