Abstract:

This report presents the results of the final evaluation testing of the DESI digital end-speed indicator system on the TC13 Mod 0 and TC13 Mod 1 catapults at the Naval Air Test Facility, Lakehurst, New Jersey, and includes an analysis of the test procedures, problem areas, and reliability of the DESI system. It has been determined that the DESI system is satisfactory for use on the CVAN68 and for retrofit to older-class vessels once the remote large readout indicator is approved. Author
