Abstract:

Antenna range and flight tests were conducted on an electronically scanned TACAN antenna developed by the Rantec Division of Emerson Electric Company. The tests were designed to determine if the techniques used would provide all band TACAN performance. In addition, certain failure features of the antenna were investigated. Flight tests revealed that the antenna should pass the requirements specified in the flight inspection manual for enroute and approach radials. Author
