Abstract:

The effect of various lubricants, especially amidic types, on the gel time of polyvinyl chloride suspensions at 160C and 30 rotations per min. was examined with Brabender plastograph. Lubricants studied included Hoechst Wax E, stearin, Grisolen low-mol. wt polyethylene Hoechst Wax PA-520 1,2-dihydroxystearic acid, Loxiol G 11, Ca stearate, Pb soap, Hoechst Wax C amidic lubricant, Kampa wax amidic lubricant, and ICECHIM amidic lubricant.
