Abstract:

This report projects the peacetime airlift and sealift requirements to overseas Air Force bases in the 1969 to 1974 time period. Each management group of items, i.e., Air Force, Army, Navy, DSA and GSA managed items, are treated separately, and then summarized to show the results for all items. Revised logistic planning factors and rates for the resupply support of overseas forces and various sizes of Air Force bases operation within a peacetime environment are provided. Also included are the methods employed for the projection of sealift and airlift requirements through 1974. This report is a continuation of Volume I, Economics of Cargo Shipment AD-849 037 which was published in January 1969. Author
