Abstract:

The system is designed to correct the existing fuel system informational problems with a minimum amount of aircraft modification as well as supplying the aircraft commander with displays of accurate fuel, time, and range status information. The system measures total mass fuel flow, computes fuel remaining, and gives the time to bingo and the range under the current conditions. The system actuates appropriate caution lamp signals for fuel transfer and bingo fuel, and monitors the existing fuel quantity measurement system.
