Abstract:
The paper on reactor shielding covers the following areas in nine chapters biological shielding of reactors used in transport facilities, radiation sources of nuclear power plants, calculating neutron fluxes in biological shields for reactors, gamma-attenuation in shieldings, methods of calculating radiative heat release and capture gamma-radiation yield, methods for determining the optimal composition of biological shielding, optimization of thermal reactor shielding, borating of thermal shielding, and optimization of total reactor shielding.
