Abstract:

Seventh in a series of German editions of Spravochnik po matematike, the first of which was based on the Russian Sixth Edition in 1958, this work is designed to serve as a field reference in aid of student and practicing engineers and others who encounter the need to perform numerical calculations. The subject matter in volume one is organized as follows Part I, Tables Part II, Elementary Mathematics chapters on approximate calculations, algebra, geometry, trigonometry Part III, Analytical and Differential Geometry Part IV, Fundamentals of Analysis, including differential equations.
