Abstract:

A qualitative comparison of the behavior of isolated reactive Mach stems and isolated unreactive Mach stems was made. The experimental methods include smoke track recording and discrete schlieren-interferometer photographs. An analytical examination for the wall reflection of a triple shock wave configuration was partially completed. Finally, the structure of an isolated, endothermic, reactive Mach stem configuration was investigated. Author
